How do I use Clarity's USB-A ports?

Connected to Clarity via either:
  1. Clarity's USB-C port
  2. Clarity's USB-B port

  3. Clarity’s "Active USB" mode is set to the same USB port you've connected to your computer.

To change Clarity's "Active USB" mode, navigate to "USB Switch" in the "Other Settings" menu of Clarity's main menu.

For example: if your computer is connected to Clarity via USB-C, you would select "Type-C" in the "USB Switch" menu.
How do I recharge my laptop with Clarity?
To charge your laptop via Clarity (up to 65W), simply connect it to the monitor via a USB-C cable which supports the required wattage.

However, it does need to plug into a USB-C port compatible with PD (Power Delivery) on your computer.

These can sometimes be identified by the presence of a battery icon next to the port on your laptop, but often you’ll need to check the user manual or manufacturer’s website to figure out which USB-C ports support PD.

All Thunderbolt 3 and 4 ports support PD.
Are Clarity Max monitors compatible with Windows, macOS and Chromebooks?
Yes, Clarity’s Webcam, Charging and Touch features have been tested with all three operating systems and work great.

Clarity Max’s screen won’t automatically rotate after you move the monitor. To rotate the picture, follow these steps:

2. Click on your Clarity Max and change ‘Rotation’ to 90° or 270°, depending on which way you turned it.

Which kinds of stylus can I use with Clarity Max Touch?
Clarity Max Touch is compatible with Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) 2.0 Styluses – such as our ALASS Clarity Acitve Stylus
Does Clarity Touch support tilt and pressure sensitivity?
Yes – when used with a compatible with Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) 2.0 Styluses – such as our ALASS Clarity Acitve Stylus
(macOS) I can’t get touch gestures, or a stylus to work!
To unlock the full capabilities of Clarity for Mac, you need to install our Clarity Touch macOS drivers.
(macOS) My touch input is controlling the wrong screen!
When using a touchscreen monitor on an Apple computer, without installing Clarity Pro Touch's macOS drivers, your input is applied to the monitor your cursor was on when you started touching.
To ensure your touch input is registered on the correct screen, you can:
(Recommended) Install the Clarity Pro Touch's macOS drivers and use the "Identify" tool of UPDD Daemon to designate the correct screen for touch input. Use Clarity Pro Touch as your only monitor (including your inbuilt laptop screen). Move your cursor onto Clarity Pro Touch’s screen before using touch input.
(Windows 10/11) My touch input is controlling the wrong screen!
Sometimes, Clarity Max Touch’s input will be applied by your computer to another display instead of Max Touch.

Moving your mouse onto Clarity before using the touchscreen usually resolves this issue.

Solution - Windows If you’re using Windows 10 or 11 with multiple displays you can specify which monitor you want touch input to apply to, which saves you having to mouse over to that display before using touch.

To do this, launch Control Panel, click “Hardware and Sound” then ‘Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input’ from the menu.

Select “Setup”, choosing “Pen Input” if you’re using an active stylus or “Touch Input” if you’re using your fingers or a capacitive stylus, then follow the onscreen instructions.

If completing this process doesn’t resolve your issue, try setting up for the other kind of input.

When I wake my computer from sleep mode, Clarity doesn’t come back on.
In some cases, it’s possible for Clarity not to recognize the wake-up signal from a connected computer. This issue occurs most often when Clarity is connected to a computer through a dock.

To resolve the issue, restart Clarity by pressing the power button twice – it should recognize the connected device as part of its boot-up sequence.

If this issue persists, we recommend trying the following steps to isolate the issue:
  • 1. Connect Clarity directly to your computer
  • 2. Try connecting with a different cable or port.
    • ie. Use DisplayPort instead of USB-C
  • 3. Update your computer’s operating system.
If your problem reoccurs and these these steps do not help resolve it, please contact ALOGIC support (

Webcam, what's the point?

Great 4K monitor. I use it for laying out my spreadsheets and Word documents - beautiful resolution. Unfortunately, the webcam is pointless on such a high/large monitor. With the monitor arm all the way down, you'll still need to be quite tall to see your neck based on where the monitor is positioned. The tilting angle just makes you look weird on a video call.

The screen is exactly like discribed on the website good quality

Embedded peripherals need improving on an otherwise great screen

Bought the 32" 4k UHD with USB C connection and at these headlines I am delighted. However the embedded audio and particularly the cam are quite a let down. Surely it was reasonable to expect a 4k CAM and HD sound as I have with my surface tablet?!! Come on product team, sort it out. As a result I now have my Surface bluetacked to the back of the screen so I can use its cam and audio by peaking it over the top of the screen. A real disappointment in the package

Screen is great, avoid webcam

Screen is high quality, I find the webcam is very poor compared with the standard in Mac equipment which I think should have been warned about.

The detailed response was very fast.
Thank you.
Looking forward to the upgrade.

Nice Monitor

Brought the 32 inch touch, folding stand, and pen.
Monitor is great once you play around with the colors. Very sharp. Impressed with it. The fact I can edit photos on the touchscreen is a huge plus. The built in cam feature is garbage. It pops up and there's no way to move or angle it. You have to move the entire monitor to try to get into frame. Should just rid of that option on future models. I have a Windows computer and no USBC on video card. Had to use the regular USB cable with the display port to get touch to work.
The pen is ok. It does the job.
Do not get the folding stand if you get the 32 inch model. The monitor sits too close to the floor. It's only made for the 27 inch. Had to return and go with the a monitor arm.
Overall I'm happy with the monitor.

I love this monitor. The size, build quality, colour, webcam, and stand and touchscreen have all been brilliant. It has exceeded my expectations, at a very reasonable price.
